We are a family owned and operated boutique coffee roasting house based locally at West Ashgrove in the beautiful city of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Our experience in the coffee industry stems from generations of coffee growing and producing.

All Kokoda Coffee's are roasted to perfection by our master roasters.  Our Coffee's are not bitter.

Shyam, our owner, moved from Papua New Guinea to Brisbane in 2004.  After several months of searching for a decent cup of coffee, he was unable to find a coffee that suited his palate.  For the last 25 years, Papua New Guinea coffee had seduced his tastebuds and tantalised his palate.  As he was unable to find a suitable replacement, the next step was logical " If no one else can do it, Ill do it myself".  A great many coffee lovers around Brisbane and across the country are grateful for his decision.

Choosing our name was the easy part. We wanted to choose a name that was synonymous with both Papua New Guinean and Australian people.  We wanted to explain where the coffee is from in the name without having to say so. The only choice was Kokoda Coffee.
