Hi everyone, meet George. George is our native Papua New Guinean warrior, plantation owner and logo.  He loves spear fishing, running through the Jungle, attending Sing Sings and drinking coffee that isn't bitter....

Our Kokoda Coffee logo was named 'George' after one of our very first customers described the logo as a real "George of the Jungle"; the name stuck. Our logo depicts George wearing his traditional battle war paint with the plumes of his Bird of Paradise headdress swaying atop his head.

Kokoda Coffee's logo is a stylised picture of a native Huli tribal warrior from the Southern Highlands Province in Papua New Guinea.   He owns a local coffee plantation, is dressed in his traditional warrior regalia and is participating in a sing sing, which means festival in Pidgin English, the local language of Papua New Guinea.  The Huli tribe is known throughout Australia and Great Britain for their tribal dance routines.

His face is covered with the war traditional paint, derived from various clays and rocks, that these warriors have used for generations.  On his head he wears a magnificent headdress constructed from the beautiful plumage of a Bird of Paradise.   This combination of paint and headdress as well as the rest of his "battledress"are designed to intimidate his enemy and provoke feelings of shock and fear.

George hates bitter coffee.  That's why he's proud to represent Kokoda Coffee as our Logo Extraordinaire.
